Hello everyone! 3 days to go until our July 3rd fireworks display at Picker’s Creek winery!
Here is the official wording from the Picker’s Creek Winery website:
Picker’s Creek Winery will host its third fireworks celebration this Monday, July 3, and it promises to be even bigger and better than before. The fireworks folks say they have lots of new surprises in store for us this year. We will open on Monday at 11:00 am. Come early and pick your spot and enjoy the day. Be sure to bring chairs and/or blankets to sit on and lots of fun lawn games.
This year we have four food trucks, featuring items such as catfish, ribs, wood fired-brick oven pizza, spiral and loaded potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, burgers, fries, hotdogs, pork sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, snow cones, funnel cakes and much, much more.
Kicking off the music at 5:00 p.m. is The Bird and the Bear, followed by Tom Dixon and his band who will keep the party going until the fireworks start at dark, around 9:00.
Entry fee is $10 per vehicle – cash only. This year there will be no admittance of anyone after 8:00 pm. The parking fills up fast and we can only fit a certain number of cars.
We will do free wine tastings until 5:00 pm. So, if you haven’t been here before and want the benefit of the full wine tasting experience, be sure to be here before 5:00 pm. Wine sales will continue throughout the evening. Remember, by law – no outside alcoholic beverages on the premises.
For safety of everyone, no one will be allowed to leave or move a vehicle during the fireworks show.
As those who have attended before will tell you, it’s a fabulous event and the fireworks are awesome. Come out and have a great time and stay safe – bring a designated driver – no drinking and driving.
